New! We have added intersting, interactive, and fun online challenges. People of all ages can win raffle prizes and small incentives just by completing one these challenges.
There is 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten for the little ones to jump start learning at an early age and get families reading together. At every 100 books read there are small incentives won and at 100 books read each child will receive a free book to keep.
100 Books Before College is a challenge for ages 12 -19. Students are encouraged to keep reading by being awarded raffle tickets for every 10 books read or for reviewing books and learning about research resources. We will raffle off a gift card at the end of the school year. At 100 books read each student will get a book to keep.
Digital Discovers is geared towards patrons 12 and up. Raffle tickets will be awarded for completeing tasks that teach people all about the internet and the library's online resources. Learn about useful and fun apps and maybe win a gift certificate or other small incentive. Click here to participate. This project was brought to you by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services grant LS-00-19-0050-19.
Our Virtual Library goes beyond programming to include an expanded digital colleciton. Visit our onine library of downloadable books, movies, music, & audiobooks and explore all we have to offer. There are many resources available to you. Our most popular is the Wisconsin Digital Libary powered by Overdrive. To use this resource, you will need your library card and pin number. Your pin number is usually the last four digits of the phone number you gave us when you registered for a card. To use this resource on your smart devices (phone, tablet, e-reader) simply go to your app store and download either the Libby app or the Overdrive app. Libby works well with most newer devices and is very user friendly. Libby cannot be used to access streaming movies and as of now cannot be used with Kindlle fire. To stream movies or to enjoy the Wisconsin Digital Library on older devices or Kindle fire download the Overdrive app. We have several tutorials on how to use Libby, Overdrive, and getting a temporary library card on our new YouTube Channel.
New to us....Hoopla!!! The library now has another exciting resource for downloading books, movies, music, and audio books, thanks to a generous donation by the Francis R. & Ruth E. Oberreich Foundation of $1,000. The best thing about Hoopla is that there are never any holds. All titles are available, all the time, regardless of whether other library users have checked out the material. The robust Hoopla collection provides a wonderful compliment to the library’s current digital offerings through Overdrive and Libby. Hoopla works with most tablets, computers and smart phones. Many of Hoopla movies can also be streamed through Roku as well. Patrons will be able to check out 7 items a month and will need their library card number and pin number (usuallly the last four digits of your phone number) to get started.
